Is mold dangerous?
Mold can aggravate allergies and respiratory conditions, and some people are far more sensitive than others. Beyond health, active growth steadily damages drywall, framing and finishes — the fix grows the longer it waits.
Why can't I just spray it with bleach?
Surface treatment doesn't address growth inside porous materials or the moisture feeding it, and disturbing colonies without containment spreads spores through the house. Proper remediation is containment, HEPA filtration, removal and source repair.
